Yesterday my mother gave Simeon a little gardening set, complete with “toodles.” For those who don’t speak three, toodles are tools. He has spent almost all of his waking hours digging little holes in the back yard with the tiny shovel and carefully filling his beach bucket with dirt. He stops only for food and hot chocolate, and of course when I demanded he come in for a nap.
Bless the Lord for simple pleasures.
MILly called this morning and helped encourage peace about my wrist. She reminded me that stress fractures are really very common and I could have easily done something carrying any one of the kids, or sweeping, or moving furniture, or painting, or who knows what. It’s likely that this is just one of those things and nothing to fret over. Luckily I’ve been able to let go and do that today. I am so thankful for all of the prayers!
Bless the Lord for good friends. Bless the Lord.
