Saying goodbye is hard.
Every. Single. Time.
So why do it, you may ask. Well, because the last four days have been full, busy, noisy, sleepless, unspeakably heart breaking, fear inducing, fear soothing, thrilling, doubt creating, courage building, belief strengthening, love deepening, prayer warrioring, spirit freeing, Jesus clinging, joy spilling, tear dropping and worth every minute.
So what to do when the grief strikes? Cry, look at pictures, make bread, cry, silly dance, eat rich meaty dinners, hug the one that is left – always left, cry for the ones you miss, pray prayers of hope, clean the bejeesus out of your kitchen counters, blog, cry, hug your husband, finish blogging, wipe your eyes, take a breath, change the sheets on the beds, clean out the drawers, pack away toys and steel your heart for the next one.
At least, that’s what works for me.
I’ll post the story in a few days.
Thanks for the prayers.
